The New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new students. It provides key information about the student journey at FCT and settling in Toronto. During this event, you will also have the opportunity to attend a welcome fair, where you can learn more about campus services and meet staff from various departments.

Social Insurance Number (SIN) Clinic (Recommended)

Date & Time: Friday, May 3, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: FCT Main Campus (124 Eglinton Ave West)

Join us for the Social Insurance Number (SIN) Clinic, a crucial step for all new students at FCT. Scheduled by appointment only, our dedicated staff will guide you through the application process, ensuring you have successfully applied for your SIN before leaving the Main Campus.

Orientation FAQ

New Student Orientation is designed to welcome and assist new students as they begin their journey at FCT. Throughout the event, students will participate in workshops, and activities that will help them adjust to the community while meeting fellow students and learning about available resources. 

Yes, all new students must be in attendance for orientation. Participating will benefit new students by providing essential information and connections to ensure a smooth transition.

We recommend bringing essential items and any required paperwork, such as your identification and study permit. You are also encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and footwear. 

During orientation, your student ID photo will be taken. You can collect your ID at the 4th-floor reception desk at the Main Campus (124 Eglinton Ave W) within 5-7 business days.

The venue is easily accessible by car or public transportation, such as Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and Go-Transit. 

From Union Station: Follow the signs to Bay Street and walk north, then turn left on Queen Street West. See the directions here
